After a string of four wins, Wagener-Salley's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They came up short against the Horse Creek Academy Stallions, falling 3-0. The War Eagles were not able to make up for their defeat to the Stallions from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-22, 25-22.

Mya Garvin paced Wagener-Salley's offense, picking up nine kills. Garvin got some help from Betty Jo Klapko and her 16 assists. Adriana Bell controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Wagener-Salley now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Horse Creek Academy, their win bumped their record up to 4-0.

Wagener-Salley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against North on the 16th. As for Horse Creek Academy, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Hunter-Kinard-Tyler on the 16th.
