Basketball Game Preview: Concord Christian Lions vs. King's Academy Lions

Concord Christian and King's Academy are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2019, but not for long. The Concord Christian Lions will face off against the King's Academy Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with eight consecutive losses dating back to last season for Concord Christian and nine for King's Academy dating back to last season.

Concord Christian is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took a 64-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of Berean Christian.

Meanwhile, King's Academy suffered their closest loss since January 25th on Monday. They fell just short of Tellico Plains by a score of 78-75. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 232nd, while the Bears are ranked 79th).

Concord Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for King's Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.

Concord Christian skirted past King's Academy 58-55 when the teams last played back in December of 2023. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was King's Academy's Harrison Rollins, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 13 boards. Now that he won't be playing on Tuesday, will it be easier for Concord Christian to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
