Basketball Recap: North Iredell Comes Up Short

North Iredell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a blow against the East Lincoln Mustangs, falling 87-55. The match was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly the Raiders struggled afterwards.

East Lincoln found their leader in sophomore Jaxon Dollar, who dropped a triple-double with 26 points, ten rebounds, and 11 assists. Dollar has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last six times he's played. Another player making a difference was Landon Aungst, who made all 6 shots he took to post 13 points and four steals.

North Iredell's defeat dropped their record down to 7-18. As for East Lincoln, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season.

North Iredell does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for East Lincoln, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Hickory at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hickory will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something East Lincoln surely won't give up without a fight.
