Volleyball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Central

Central had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They came out on top against the Wellesley Raiders by a score of 3-1. This was a revenge game for the Golden Eagles: when they faced off against the Raiders last Monday, they had to take a 3-2 defeat.

The win didn't come easy: Wellesley scored at least 20 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-20, 25-27, 25-21.

Xavier Lozada paced Central's offense, picking up 22 kills. Lozada got some help from Jovan Diaz and his 42 assists. Finally, Juan Jones kept Central's defense grounded, leading the team with five blocks.

Central's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Wellesley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3-1.

Central didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Belchertown on the 16th. Wellesley has also already played their next game (against Natick), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
