Softball Preview: Whitefield Academy Wildcats vs. Bullitt East Chargers
The Whitefield Academy Wildcats will head out on the road to square off against the Bullitt East Chargers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Whitefield Academy has given up an average of 10.7 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
It was a proper cat-fight when Whitefield Academy duked it out with Fern Creek on Thursday. Bullitt East always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .581. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Holy Cross only posted an OBP of .235.
Bullitt East has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Whitefield Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 4-9.
