Baseball Recap: Rotan Comes Up Short

Rotan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Hermleigh Cardinals, falling 23-6. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cardinals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 32-3 two weeks ago.

Rhylon Lester was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 1-for-1 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Tucker McWilliams was another key player, getting on base in both of his plate appearances with two runs.

Rotan's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Hermleigh, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.

Rotan will venture away from home to square off against Roby at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Hermleigh, they will take on Bluff Dale at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
