Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Manti). Their defense stepped up to hand the Emery Spartans a 12-0 shutout on Tuesday. It was an even better day for Taylie Mickelsen as she scored four goals for her team.

The win made it two in a row for Manti and bumps their season record up to 8-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 15 goals over those two contests. As for Emery, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-7.

Coincidentally, Manti and Emery will both be playing Union the next time they take the pitch. The Spartans will host the Cougars at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Templars will host them at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
