Basketball Game Preview: Reed Raiders vs. Del Sol Dragons

Two dominant guards in Faanaetaua Puloka and Sabrina Stewart are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Reed Raiders and the Del Sol Dragons will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Del Sol is hoping to do what Pahrump Valley couldn't on Friday: put an end to Reed's winning streak, which now stands at ten games. Reed took their match with ease, bagging a 56-16 victory over Pahrump Valley. Given the Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' Nevada basketball rankings (they are ranked fifth, while the Trojans are ranked 61st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Del Sol won against Pahrump Valley on Friday with 70 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. Del Sol couldn't have asked for a better start to 2025 than the 70-40 blowout they got against Boulder City. The win was nothing new for the Dragons as they're now sitting on five straight.

Reed's victory bumped their record up to 11-1. As for Del Sol, their win bumped their record up to 13-1.
