Basketball Recap: Llano Takes a Loss

Llano was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 43-20 to the Mason Punchers. The Yellowjackets were not able to make up for their loss to the Punchers from their previous meeting back in November of 2022.

Despite the defeat, Llano saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Addison Priem posted nine points. Those nine points gave Priem a new career-high.

Llano's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Mason, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Llano will venture away from home to take on Brady at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Llano is facing Brady at the right time seeing as Brady is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Mason, they will head out to face off against Johnson City at 6:15 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
