Baseball Recap: Michigan Lutheran Seminary Find Success

While Michigan Lutheran Seminary's victory against Breckenridge wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cardinals had just enough and edged out the Huskies 6-4. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cardinals also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

The team relied heavily on Will Salgat, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs. Michigan Lutheran Seminary is undefeated when Salgat posts two or more runs, but 7-8 otherwise. Ethan Wakefield was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs.

Michigan Lutheran Seminary is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.4 runs over those games. As for Breckenridge, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-18-2.

As of now, neither Michigan Lutheran Seminary nor the Huskies have any future games scheduled.
