Volleyball Game Preview: Animas Panthers vs. Magdalena Steers

The Animas Panthers will venture away from home to square off against the Magdalena Steers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Animas is headed into Thursday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight matches on Saturday. They lost 3-0 to Reserve.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-20, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Magdalena came up short against Quemado on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Steers haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

While Magdalena was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Quemado's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-16, 25-17.

Animas' loss dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Magdalena, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-9.

Animas might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Magdalena in their previous matchup back in October. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
