Volleyball Recap: Bonanza Extends Road Winning Streak to Three

The Bonanza Bengals were able to grind out a solid victory over The Meadows School Mustangs on Thursday, taking the game 3-1.

Bonanza got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 20-25, 30-28, 25-23.

Riley Hunt paced Bonanza's offense, picking up 21 kills. Hunt got some help from Matthew Oh and his 32 assists. Michael Wienand controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Bonanza pushed their record up to 9-11 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. As for The Meadows School, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bonanza will face off against Sunrise Mountain at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Miners will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Bengals surely won't give up without a fight. After both having extra time off, The Meadows School and American Heritage Academy will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Mustangs are facing the Patriots at the right time seeing as the Patriots are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
