Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Collinsville walked away with it. Everything went their way against the Gordo Green Wave on Friday as they made off with a 13-1 win. Considering the Panthers have won 11 matches by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Collinsville has been performing well recently as they've won 17 of their last 22 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Gordo, the loss snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 25-14 record.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Green Wave beat Collinsville by a score of 6-5 on Saturday.
