Volleyball Preview: Southern Door Eagles vs. Gibraltar Vikings        
        
		
             After six games on the road, Southern Door is heading back home. They will welcome the Gibraltar Vikings  at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
 Southern Door is headed into the  matchup having just  suffered their biggest  defeat since September 12th on Thursday. They came up short against  Kewaunee, falling  3-0.
 While Southern Door was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Kewaunee's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-19,  26-24.
 Despite the  loss, Southern Door had strong showings from  Alanna Paye, who  had 13  digs, and  Morgan Miller, who  had ten  digs.
 Meanwhile, Gibraltar hadn't done well against Sturgeon Bay recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way  on Thursday. Gibraltar came out on top in a nail-biter against Sturgeon Bay , sneaking past  3-2. The  win was a breath of fresh air for the Vikings as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
 Gibraltar was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (104-103), but they still managed to win. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 21-25, 17-25, 25-22,  15-13.
 Southern Door has  traveled a rocky road recently having  lost six of their last seven contests,  which put a noticeable dent in their 7-19 record  this season. As for Gibraltar, their victory bumped their record up to 5-18.
 Southern Door was able to grind out a solid  win over Gibraltar when the teams last played  back in October of 2023, winning  3-1. Will Southern Door repeat their success,  or does  Gibraltar have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
