Wisdom is 9-1 against East Grand since January of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Wisdom Pioneers will venture away from home to square off against the East Grand Vikings at 5:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

On Wednesday, Wisdom was beaten by Madawaska 78-44. While losing is never fun, the Pioneers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked 105th, while the Owls are ranked 15th).

Meanwhile, East Grand was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were outmatched by Katahdin and fell 95-11. The Vikings were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 49-9.

Wisdom has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. As for East Grand, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.

Everything came up roses for Wisdom against East Grand when the teams last played back in January of 2024, as the team secured a 62-18 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Wisdom since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
