Baseball Recap: Needham Takes a Loss

Needham was the 1-0 winner over Walpole when they last played one another back in April, but their luck changed this time around. The Rockets took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Timberwolves on Wednesday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Needham's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Walpole, the win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 7-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Needham will head out to challenge Boston Latin Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Walpole, they will venture away from home to square off against St. John's Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Timberwolves 3.6, the Eagles 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
