Baseball Recap: Joel Barlow Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Joel Barlow can now relate to. They fell 8-5 to the Stonington Bears on Sunday.

Joel Barlow saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Will Gregor, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. Gavin Maryott was another, going 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Joel Barlow's loss dropped their record down to 20-7. As for Stonington, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-6 record this season.

Joel Barlow does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Stonington, they will challenge Suffield on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bears 3.3, the Wildcats 2.3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
