Baseball Game Preview: Oak Grove Grizzlies vs. Ledford Panthers

The Oak Grove Grizzlies will head out on the road to challenge the Ledford Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Oak Grove came up short against North Davidson on Friday, falling 10-4. The Grizzlies haven't had much luck with the Black Knights recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Cam Sharpe put in work while hitting and pitching. He pitched 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Sharpe wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Aidan Murphy, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, while Ledford put up plenty of runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Montgomery Central. Ledford came out on top against Montgomery Central by a score of 12-0 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Panthers' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Ledford now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Oak Grove, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 7-6.

Oak Grove took their victory against Ledford when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 15-5. Will Oak Grove repeat their success, or does Ledford has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
