Baseball Game Preview: Lawndale Cardinals vs. Centennial Apaches

For the second straight game, Lawndale will face off against Centennial. The Cardinals are taking a road trip to face off against the Apaches at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Lawndale is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.7 runs per game this season.

Lawndale's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Centennial with a sharp 15-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cardinals.

Seth Alex Rodriguez was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Guru Rivas, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Lawndale pushed their record up to 11-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.0 runs on average over those games. As for Centennial, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.
