It was a good run, but Salem unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-match winning streak on Thursday. They fell 3-1 to the Bishop Guertin Cardinals. While losing is never fun, Salem can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Hampshire soccer rankings (they are ranked 51st, while Bishop Guertin are ranked seventh).

Salem's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5-2. As for Bishop Guertin, their victory bumped their record up to 9-0-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Salem will challenge Londonderry at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bishop Guertin, they will square off against Nashua South at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Nashua South will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something Bishop Guertin surely won't give up without a fight.
