Westlake Academy came tearing into Thursday's contest with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 41.8 points), and they left with even more momentum. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 58-8 win over the Johnson County Sports Association Lions. With the Blacksmiths ahead 58-8 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Special teams played a big role in the game for Westlake Academy, adding 20 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Angel Manon, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Westlake Academy's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Johnson County Sports Association, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

As of now, neither Westlake Academy nor the Lions have any future games scheduled.
