Laney entered their tilt with North Brunswick on Tuesday with 13 consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with 14. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Scorpions a 6-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Buccaneers, who have now won eight matches by six runs or more so far this season.

TJ Ziermann made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run over 6.1 innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one triple and two RBI.

In other batting news, Laney let Carston Wedemeyer and Jack Holliman run wild. Wedemeyer went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs, while Holliman went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. That's the most hits Holliman has posted since back in March.

Laney pushed their record up to 18-4 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for North Brunswick, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season.
