Basketball Recap: Hodgdon Find Success

Hodgdon proved they can win big last Monday (they won by 84) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 56-53 win over the Easton Bears. This was payback for the Hawks, who suffered a 44-36 loss the last time these two teams met.

Hodgdon is also on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.0 points per game. As for Easton, they dropped their record down to 8-5 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Hodgdon will venture away from home to take on Southern Aroostook at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Southern Aroostook has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with four straight losses, while Hodgdon will come in with five straight victories.
