Casa Roble has gone 9-1 against Woodland recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Rams will take on the Wolves at 4:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Casa Roble has four straight victories, Woodland has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Casa Roble barely beat Dixon the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Casa Roble was the clear victor by an 8-2 margin over Dixon on Thursday. The result was nothing new for Casa Roble, who have now won nine matches by six runs or more so far this season.
Emily Gomez was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Lilly Leslie, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.
They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Casa Roble lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Dixon didn't launched any home runs.
Meanwhile, Woodland fell victim to Rio Linda and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Knights, falling 10-0.
Casa Roble's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-5-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Woodland, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-16.
Woodland's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Casa Roble has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .499. It's a different story for Woodland, though, as they've only averaged .364. Will they be able to contain Casa Roble's hitters?
Everything went Casa Roble's way against Woodland in their previous meeting back in March, as Casa Roble made off with a 13-3 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rams since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
