Recap: Granger Christian Knights vs. Lakeland Christian Academy Cougars
The Granger Christian Knights lost against the Lakeland Christian Academy Cougars two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Granger Christian took a 35-27 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lakeland Christian Academy. Granger Christian has not had much luck with Lakeland Christian Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Lakeland Christian Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Katie Reimink out in front who scored five points along with ten rebounds and five assists. Those ten rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Dayton Sibert, who scored ten points along with six rebounds.
Granger Christian has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. As for Lakeland Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 9-7.
Granger Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Calumet Christian at 6:15 p.m. on January 11th. As for Lakeland Christian Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Elkhart Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Elkhart Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 last Saturday.
