Baseball Recap: Plainview Takes a Loss

Plainview lost against Mount St. Mary last Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Plainview came up short against Mount St. Mary, falling 13-3. The Indians' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Brylan Anderson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Flowers, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base.

Plainview's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Mount St. Mary, their victory was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-3.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Plainview will challenge rival Dickson at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Mount St. Mary is set to take on their familiar foe Madill at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
