Baseball Game Preview: East Catholic Eagles vs. East Granby Crusaders

The East Catholic Eagles will head out to face off against the East Granby Crusaders at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. East Catholic will come into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.

East Catholic proved they can win big on Monday (they won by ten) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a run and slipped past Coventry 3-2. While the Eagles didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Meanwhile, East Granby posted their closest victory since May 7, 2024 on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Bolton, sneaking past 9-7. The Crusaders haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

East Catholic pushed their record up to 4-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average this season. As for East Granby, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
