Soccer Game Preview: Wilbur Cross vs. Career-Hillhouse

The Wilbur Cross Governors will head out to face off against the Career-Hillhouse Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Wilbur Cross' offense. They came up short against Hand on Tuesday, falling 8-0. The defeat continues a trend for Wilbur Cross in their meetings with Hand: they've now lost seven in a row.

Meanwhile, Career-Hillhouse also failed to score in their most recent game. They lost 6-0 to Amity Regional on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Career-Hillhouse can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut soccer rankings (they are ranked 85th, while Amity Regional are ranked 13th).

Wilbur Cross' loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Career-Hillhouse, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-9-1.
