Soccer Recap: Forest's Loss Ends Six-Game Winning Streak at Home

Forest entered their game against Lake Minneola on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Forest Wildcats took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lake Minneola Hawks. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Wildcats came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 67th, while the Hawks are ranked 397th).

Forest's loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-2. As for Lake Minneola, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Forest will venture away from home to square off against Belleview at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Lake Minneola, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Eustis at 7:30 p.m. on January 6, 2025.
