Natalia dropped their record down to 21-8-1 on Thursday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Jourdanton Indians/Squaws by a score of 3-2. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Mustangs couldn't push the score so high this time.

Natalia saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Leyla Saenz, who went 1-for-4 with one run.

As for Jourdanton, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 17-13 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games.

On Jourdanton's side, Hailey Sralik made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. Sralik has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in 15 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two doubles and one RBI.

While Natalia had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
