Softball Recap: Middleton Continues Home Dominance on Thursday

Softball Recap: Middleton Vikings vs. Emmett Huskies
While Middleton's victory against Emmett wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Middleton sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 win over Emmett on Thursday. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Huskies recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
Libby Garcia tossed a big game, striking out 13 batters over 6.1 innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits.
At the plate, Kenadi Whitlow was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Natalie Miklancic, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run.

Middleton's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.1 runs over those games.
