Softball Game Preview: Conneaut Spartans vs. Grand Valley Mustangs

The Conneaut Spartans will square off against the Grand Valley Mustangs at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Conneaut has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since April 21.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Conneaut's offense. They lost 15-0 to Perry on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Grand Valley got the win against Harding on Monday by a conclusive 13-4. Considering the Mustangs have won four matches by more than eight runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Grand Valley got a massive performance out of Breanna Rowland, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most RBI Rowland has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Maddie Lowry-Stark, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Grand Valley was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. They are 5-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Grand Valley's victory bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Conneaut, their loss dropped their record down to 2-10.
