St. Mary's had to suffer through a 77-44 loss at the hands of Modesto Christian. The Rams were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-21.

Despite their defeat, St. Mary's saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Jayden Hinkston, who posted 14 points, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was Saroop Sahi, who put up six points.

Meanwhile, West lost to Lincoln at home by a 62-44 margin on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, the Wolfpack can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 238th, while the Trojans are ranked seventh).

West's loss dropped their record down to 15-7. As for St. Mary's, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-11.

St. Mary's beat West 54-44 in their previous matchup on January 3rd. The rematch might be a little tougher for St. Mary's since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
