Basketball Recap: Faith Christian Comes Up Short

Faith Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were beaten by the Cathedral Academy Generals 44-8. The Knights lost against the Generals in their previous head to head back in February of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 1-0 score last time.

Cathedral Academy can attribute much of their success to Madison Jackson, who posted 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Raven Williams, who had 11 points.

Faith Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Cathedral Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-16.

Faith Christian will square off against Holly Hill Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cathedral Academy, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Dorchester Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Dorchester Academy will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Cathedral Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
