Basketball Game Preview: Sisseton Redmen vs. Groton Tigers

The Sisseton Redmen and the Groton Tigers will compete for holiday cheer at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Saturday, Sisseton came up short against Mobridge-Pollock and fell 69-57. The loss was the Redmen's first of the season.

Meanwhile, Groton suffered their closest defeat since December 8, 2023 on Friday. They fell just short of Hamlin by a score of 44-41.

Groton's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Sisseton, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 2-1.

Everything came up roses for Sisseton against Groton when the teams last played back in December of 2023, as the squad secured a 65-22 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Sisseton since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
