Sunlake skates past Pasco with ease

Recap: Sunlake Seahawks vs. Pasco Pirates

Make it six blowout wins for the Sunlake Seahawks this season. They took their matchup on the road on Friday with ease, bagging a 73-31 victory over Pasco. The victory was just what Sunlake needed coming off of a 70-45 defeat in their prior match.

Christopher Murray was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. He hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for seven straight games. Jeremiah Brown was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with four steals.

Several Pirates players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sidney Allen, who scored ten points. Another player making a difference was Jeremiah Miller, who scored seven points.

Pasco struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only an offensive rebound. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Sunlake has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. As for Pasco, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.

Sunlake will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate at 7:30 p.m. Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for Pasco, they will head out on the road to take on River Ridge at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
