Volleyball Recap: Cuero Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Cuero entered their tilt with Shiner on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Comanches. That's more bragging rights for the Gobblers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Cuero had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 25-21, 25-21.

The victory got Cuero back to even at 3-3. As for Shiner, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Coincidentally, Cuero and Shiner will both be playing Hallettsville the next time they take the court. The Gobblers will head out to face the Brahmas at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, while the Comanches will play them later in the day, at 1:00 p.m.
