Soccer Recap: Mainland Regional Takes a Loss

Mainland Regional lost against St. Augustine Prep back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Mustangs fell just short of the Hermits by a score of 2-1. While losing is never fun, Mainland Regional can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey soccer rankings (they are ranked 36th, while St. Augustine Prep are ranked third).

Mainland Regional's loss dropped their record down to 6-4-1. As for St. Augustine Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 10-0.

Looking ahead, Mainland Regional will challenge Vineland at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for St. Augustine Prep, they will take on Ocean City at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
