Basketball Recap: Copley Comes Up Short

Copley has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 52-50 heartbreaker at the hands of the Norton Panthers. The match was a 21-21 toss-up at halftime, but the Indians couldn't quite close it out.

Copley's loss dropped their record down to 15-5. As for Norton, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 10-8.

Copley and Norton should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. Copley (ranked 46th) will meet Gilmour Academy (ranked 190th) at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Norton will challenge Springfield at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday up 260 places (259 vs. 519).
