Preview: Armstrong River Hawks vs. Fox Chapel Foxes
The Armstrong River Hawks will be playing at home against the Fox Chapel Foxes at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
Last Tuesday, Armstrong came up short against the Indians and fell 56-43. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Armstrong in their matchups with the Indians: they've now lost six in a row.
Meanwhile, Fox Chapel scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They strolled past Plum with points to spare, taking the game 70-55. The victory was some much needed relief for Fox Chapel as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Fox Chapel got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jefferson Moorefield-Brown out in front who scored 15 points along with five assists and two steals. Thomas Patterson was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Armstrong's loss dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Fox Chapel, they now have a winning record of 10-9.
