Joshua Layman Game Report: vs James River Midlothian

For the first time in his career, Joshua Layman scored a rushing touchdown on Friday. He punched in one rushing score, helping propel Powhatan past James River Midlothian by a score of 20-14. We rated that as his best performance of the season, easily topping his previous best, set on September 19th, when he threw for 41 yards and one TD (Gamescore: 25.6 vs. 7.83333333333333).

Layman and Powhatan will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Huguenot at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th. The contest will pit Layman up against the Falcons' star quarterback Charles Scott Jr. With these two excellent players competing for bragging rights, there's bound to be some exciting action on the field.
