Softball Game Preview: Kearny Komets vs. La Jolla Vikings

Kearny is 0-3 against La Jolla since March of 2016 but things could change on Wednesday. The Komets will host the Vikings at 4:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Kearny is headed into Wednesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Wednesday. They came up short against Southwest SD, falling 16-6.

Meanwhile, after some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three matchups, La Jolla finally came back down to earth back in March. They lost 11-0 to Escondido. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Vikings were not able to get on the board.

Imelda Lopez was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and one double.

La Jolla's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Kearny, their loss dropped their record down to 3-9.
