Football Recap: Cedartown Takes a Loss + How To Watch

If Cedartown was riding high fresh off their 48-13 takedown of Berkmar last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Alexander Cougars by a score of 34-31 on Thursday. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cougars apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Chace Collins was a one-man wrecking crew For Alexander. as he rushed for 140 yards and one TD on only ten carries, and also threw for 146 yards and one touchdown. Those 140 rushing yards gave Collins a new career-high. Terrence Booker was another key player, picking up 99 receiving yards and one score.

Cedartown now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Alexander, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Looking ahead, Cedartown will challenge Pepperell at 7:30 p.m. on the 5th. As for Alexander, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Villa Rica at 7:30 p.m. on the 12th.
