Softball Game Preview: Central Bobcats vs. Fairfax Stampede

For the second straight game, Central will face off against Fairfax. The Bobcats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Stampede at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. Central has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the matchup with 21 straight losses, while Fairfax will come in with three straight wins.

Central came up short against Fairfax on Tuesday, falling 24-3.

For Fairfax's part, the team relied heavily on Nia Hardin, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. Those four hits gave Hardin a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Reilley Bledsoe, who went 2-for-3 with four runs, three RBI, and one triple.

Hardin wasn't the only one making solid contact: Fairfax kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. The Stampede are a perfect 7-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Central's defeat dropped their record down to 0-16. As for Fairfax, their victory bumped their record up to 12-6.
