Softball Recap: Piscataway Comes Up Short

Piscataway was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 15-5 to the Carteret Ramblers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Chiefs of the 15-11 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Mia Salgado was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2. Another player making a difference was Julianna Mena, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Piscataway's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Carteret, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Piscataway has already played their next match, a 16-10 defeat against Rahway on the 10th. As for Carteret, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, an 11-4 win against South Amboy on the 10th.
