Piute had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Tabiona Tigers. This was payback for the Thunderbirds, who suffered a 3-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The win didn't come easy: Tabiona scored at least 21 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 21-25, 25-21, 25-21.

Piute's victory bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Tabiona, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-8.

Piute wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Altamont on the 20th. As for Tabiona, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Rich on the 20th.
