Basketball Recap: Walled Lake Northern Takes a Loss

Walled Lake Northern was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 55-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mercy Marlins. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 162nd, while the Marlins are ranked 39th).

Walled Lake Northern's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Mercy, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.

Walled Lake Northern will venture away from home to face off against Kettering at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mercy, they will welcome Harper Woods at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Mercy's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six matchups.
