Plainfield South extended their postseason success on Saturday against Benet Academy. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Redwings, sneaking past 2-1. The win was nothing new for the Cougars as they're now sitting on five straight.

Logan Warkentien paced Plainfield South's offense, picking up 11 kills. Warkentien got some help from Alexander Venes and his 23 assists. Finally, Papaa Adansi-Ofori kept Plainfield South's defense grounded, leading the team with five blocks.

Plainfield South's victory bumped their record up to 25-13. As for Benet Academy, they moved to 29-7 with that loss, which also ended their 12-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Plainfield South will square off against Glenbard West at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Benet Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
