Softball Recap: Mobile Christian Find Success

Mobile Christian's game last Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 victory over the St. Paul's Episcopal Saints. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 6-3 back in February.

Mobile Christian pushed their record up to 13-16-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for St. Paul's Episcopal, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mobile Christian will welcome Cottage Hill Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Leopards' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Warriors have averaged an impressive 10.8 runs per game this season. As for St. Paul's Episcopal, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Citronelle at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Saints are facing the Wildcats at the right time seeing as the Wildcats are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
