Volleyball Game Preview: Los Alamitos Griffins vs. Downey Vikings

The Los Alamitos Griffins will face off against the Downey Vikings at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Thursday, Los Alamitos got the win against Warren by a conclusive 3-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Griffins.

The win didn't come easy: Warren scored at least 19 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-23, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Downey earned a 3-1 victory over La Serna on Thursday.

Downey was especially dominant in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-19, 22-25, 25-18.

Los Alamitos' win bumped their record up to 12-3. As for Downey, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.

Los Alamitos beat Downey 2-0 in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. Does Los Alamitos have another victory up their sleeve, or will Downey turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
